About
Redeveloping Tonsley Park will provide a platform for the State’s economic growth, attracting companies with advanced manufacturing capabilities and services that can respond to the needs of growing SA industries.
Combining social and economic opportunities with education, renewable energy and world-class community facilities, will help to boost local skills and experience.
It will encourage innovation, helping to ensure our State is equipped to supply technologies, products and services in the mining, renewable energy, health care, construction and environmental industries.
Master Planning
A Master Plan was released in March 2012 providing full development objectives, detailed spatial layout and infrastructure requirements, precinct plans and site development plans.
Sustainable Industries Educations Centre
A cornerstone of the redevelopment will be the construction of a Sustainable Industries Education Centre (SIEC) delivered through TAFE SA in collaboration with South Australian universities and industry. Click here for more information on the SIEC.
Community engagement
Engagement with key stakeholders and the community is crucial to the successful planning and delivery of the redevelopment and a consultation process has begun to seek feedback on the master planning process. The opportunity for the community to have their say on the detailed design process is also continuing.
Tonsley Park Open Days have provided opportunities for the public to give feedback on the redevelopment. A feedback report has also been published online.
