The South Australian Government’s redevelopment of Tonsley Park will create a vibrant and integrated mixed-use employment precinct that will expand the industrial and economic base of southern Adelaide and the State.
Tonsley Park will create a hub for innovative companies in sustainable technologies, including cleantech and environmental industries along with associated advanced manufacturing that integrates industry, education, training, research and community amenities.
Engagement with key stakeholders and the broader community is crucial to the successful planning and delivery redevelopment.
Input and feedback will be sought through a variety of activities at each stage of the planning process.
A cornerstone of the Tonsley Park redevelopment will be a Sustainable Industries Education Centre delivered through TAFE SA in collaboration with South Australian universities and industry.
The $125 million Education Centre is set to house around 8,000 students and 210 teaching staff.
The Centre will provide education and training to create a workforce with the skills required for a new sustainable economy.
The redeveloped Tonsley Park is a vital step in the State Government’s planning and infrastructure priorities, that will demonstrate innovative approaches to building design, water recycling and renewable energy solutions.
Tonsley Park, creating a sustainable economy.
